Portland ranked No. 9 for worst traffic in U.S.

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -A report from GPS manufacturer TomTom lists Portland as the ninth worst city in the country for traffic congestion. The study compared travel times during non-peak hours to times during rush hour, and found that Thursday evenings have the worst congestion is most U.S. cities. The study also claims that many common shortcuts that drivers take to avoid traffic actually add 50 percent more time to commuters' trips.
