Oregon bucks national trend with rising repossessions

The number of properties being repossessed rose for the sixth consecutive month in Oregon, bucking a national trend in the opposite direction. The number of foreclosure auctions in Oregon rose in May for the 11th consecutive month, up 157 percent from May of last year. Nationwide, foreclosure auctions fell to the lowest level since December 2006 — down 4 percent from the previous month and down 22 percent from a year ago.
