I can certainly tell you that I wept when I read this recent op-ed in an Oregon newspaper. A couple of concerned bureaucrats report the"sobering” epidemic of kindergartners underperforming on standardized tests. Apparently, what these youngsters need is for government schools to be more"coordinated” and aggressive in seeing to it that they reach the arbitrary academic milestones imposed upon them by the Department of Education.

Signature gathering drive underway for state equal-rights amendment!!

Maybe I've just been out of the loop for 25 years or so but do any women in Oregon feel this is still relevant?
"People are out collecting signatures to get the Oregon & rsquo;s Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) for women on the November 2014 ballot. This could mean a change to the state constitution to include language that specifically protects women." When Blue Oregon is against it....and the quote from the story says: An Oregon Supreme Court ruling already legally protects sex discrimination. That’s why the Oregon American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) isn’t taking a stance on the ERA initiative for now. Executive Director David Fidanque calls the initiative "unnecessary."

"Agenda 21", "ObamaCare/KitzCare (Cover Oregon)", and "Common Core" are all about to crash on the state in the fashion of the most monstrous tsunami.
